This was my 1st attempt at MX photography, its a lot of fun, if you have a track near you I highly recommend going, its a great opportunity to hone your action photog skills:

NOt too shabby.

If you shot with more of an open aperture, you could blur the background a little and thus isolate the riders.

The shots look a little on the constrasty side. Perhaps a UV filter.

Actually I do havea UV filter on, but the sun was quite strong, perhaps a Polarizer??

Yah, a polarizer.

Also, if your close to the action, blow in a little flash.
