Thanks k1par!

Aaron,

I'm shooting with a 20d and Sigma 120-300 2.8 lens. I tend to shoot aperture priority mode. Most of these shots were at f3.2 I believe. When shooting outdoors, where you have the flexibility to move I recommend shooting with as much zoom as possible - which will increase the bokeh. The key though is that you want to be close enough so you're not constantly focusing at/near infinity - otherwise you lose the pop of the subject isolation. I am honestly amazed at how much better the extra 100mm makes the bokeh on this lens vs. my 70-200 2.8

I'm new to the track world, so I still have quite a bit to learn about shooting angles and such. I'll also have to work on what settings are good for multiple athletes - I only had about 40 minutes to play around so I couldn't experiment as much as I would have liked.

Some very sharp pictures you got there. I wish I had a teliphoto that could get nice crisp shots like that. Akron OH, ever heard of the band The Black Keys?
