Jobeye,

When shooting batters at the plate - try to shoot from 1st base side for right-handers and third-base side for left handers - that way you can see the player's face. Occasionally shooting from the opposite side will work if the player has a wide follow-thru and their face turns. But shots like this are more effective when you can see a face. Otherwise, the shot is technically good.
