Good color/exposure and nice stop action. There are2 things that keep the photo from being as good as it could be though:

1. The player on the right isn't really doing anything and is thus a distraction - isolating on the two players actually involved would provide a more powerful image.

2. The background is way too distracting with the house and car almost completely in focus. If you can't open your lens up more (say to 2.8) then you might have to change your angles - shoot from the end of the field maybe instead of the side so the background is the rest of the field - less distracting than a car and house.

Again, I think you've got some good work and I hope you don't mind these suggestions - you don't have to take them it's just one person's opinion. But I know I benefit from other people offering suggestions.

I really like the posture and expression of the 2nd blue player. Perhaps it makes more sense as a series...









It would have been nice to have blurred out the background, but sunlight was very intense, and even at 200 ASA, DOF at that distance was pretty wide. If I was going to submit this one, I'd layer in the background with some blur.
