Barbarian,

2nd shot is pretty good. What settings? I just ask because a faster shutter speed could have helped a bit. But I still like it.

On the first shot I'm guessing you blurred the background in post processing - correct? There are some pretty noticable artifacts around the players from some type of editing (defender's right arm, kicker's left leg). There's also a very strange affect on the last girl sitting in the far right of the frame

I can sympathize - it's almost impossible to catch everything when you add an effect like this in post processing - which is why I'm not a big fan of it. If you applied the same affect in shot 2 (and it appears you did) it was more accurately done so it is less noticable.

Um right. One of the bad things about doing work late at night. I posted the first cut of picture 1, instead of the cleaned up version. I got the 2nd one right, um?

Don't ya wish you could pick your background and place where ya want.

Last year I had a set of pictures with a... Let just say I call them the port-a-potty pictures.
This year I have some GREAT pictures of a Honda generator about twenty feet behind
third base. I need to use one of them for sure but it'll be an easy clone out.

These are good picture and the athlete looks like a great kid. Do you really need a blurred background?

dale
