#3 I really like - great framing and timing (not easy to get the released ball still in the frame and in focus) and good isolation.

#1 comes in 2nd place because it's a capture of good action and the background isn't as much of a distraction as the at-bat photos.

#4 comes in next because it's the sharpest of the series. The sharpness of the batter's face IMO makes it better than the other at-bat photos.

Given lens limitations I think you're doing a great job. Your angles are good and your instincts and framing have been improving. If you can get the consistant sharpness of shot 4 I think you'll be getting close to maximizing your shots with the Sigma.

And, don't misunderstand - these are really great and are a good example that you can do pretty darn good with a $220 lens
