Default

Followed my son's H.S. team yesterday during practice. Struggled with the late afternoon sun. Using the Nikon D50, 70-300.

John, if you have any suggestions - it would be greatly appreciated !

Nice sharp images - I think you did very well considering the light.

Two suggestions:

1. Try dodging your son's head/face in shot #1 to see if you can lighten it without it getting ruined - looks like you should.

2. In both shots, you might want to frame differently next time so the ball (anddirt flying in 2nd shot) are up higher in the frame. They're more important than the sky - especially dirt - idon't care what the sport is - for some reason I love seeing dirt/mud/sand fly :-)

And on 2nd shot frame your son more to the left again put the emphasis on his swing and the dirt - the empty space to the left draws away from him.

Those are really my only suggestions - i like the sharpness and the background is not distracting - so good angle there!!!
