Thanks for the info & link nlp! I went to the FIFA site & just drooled at those shots.

What do you shoot?

Me:
Nikon D50
Nikon 80-200 f/2.8
Nikon 70-300 f/4-5.6

I'm thinking about buying a Nikon D200 however - the D50 is OK but I'd like to get a better 1st body for the 2.8 beast of a lens. :G

Great pictures, Soccer is a hard sport to shoot because the action can turn away from you in a heartbeat and you can't see the players face. You did a great job of capturing the look on the players face.

FYI Nikon is about to (if they haven't already) come out with the D80

Don't pay too much attention to the FIFA images, I only sent you there to compare the action. You will find that at soccer games, most organisations will have a person (or 2) at each vantage point. They're at each end with humangous lenses.

Everyone knows it is a difficult sport to photograph and that's why they're at each end and, we ALL know how many they throw away.

I shoot Pentax and awaiting the announcement of the 2 new cameras.
