Hmm... I'm still struggling to see the benefit of a compact camera, with interchangeable lenses- it somehow renders the "compact" point,useless- especially given the limitations of a 1/2.3" sensor....and it's rather hefty price tag.....!
Image quality seems pretty decent for a small sensor camera,however- though is it any better- or indeed as good as,say, the more compact and less expensive Canon S100...? Will be interesting to see how this release pan's out over the next couple of months.... |

IMHO, IQ is in pretty awesome for a camera with this size sensor, but it does not equal or exceed the larger sensor compact models like the PowerShot S90/95/100, G11/12, Lumix DMC-LX5, Olympus XZ-1, etc.

The benefit of the Q is in it's extreme portability and ability to shoot creatively with lenses- no other P&S can offer this degree of flexibility- hence the lofty price tag......agreed IQ is not as high as others but the ability to capture an image with small lenses is a benefit.
(I own a Q.) |
