Studio lighting - Best bang for my buck

Hello,

What brands does anyone suggest when buying studio lighting? I need affordable lighting. I am going to purchase fluorescent continuous lighting and I need at least 3 lights and umbrellas/soft boxes. I have found Steve Kaeser and Britek to both be within my price range but I was wondering if there is anything else you could suggest or steer me away from.
