I have an e-bay PDR-M71 to replace my Mode Dial broke PDR-M60.

My main problem is the performance of the M71 auto-focus. It doesn't work.

I press half way to get the green light, and the focus is BAD. I've tried AF mode, and fixed focus mode. The focus seems to work OK with subjects 6 to 12 feet, in good lighting.

Outdoors in landscape conditions, the auto focus is BAD.

I have found MF mode, but trying to take pics in good lighting conditions outdoors by using the LCD and my bifocal glasses is hit and miss.

I've read where users have taken magazine quality pics with the M70/M71 /M81 family. Any suggestions?
