Default A few RC Aircraft from this weekend

I've been testing out the Canon 7D against the 1D mkIII this weekend, nearly all of which took place at my RC Flying club. If you are interested in my experiences you can find out more here Putting the 7D to the test

Here are just a few shots from the weekend.

Great shots Mark, I love the "3D" style flying in the 1st photo. My father is really into RC planes, and flies 3D quite well.

Maybe I get him to join an chime in some.

Thanks Billy. I do a bit of 3D but I don't practise enough as mainly I'm flying one of my helis. So you haven't been sucked into the crazy world of RC then by your dad?

Oh, he's been trying for Years, trust me. I get too scared that I'm going to crash an expensive plane. Although, with the some of the newer foam electrics out, I have been more brave since they are quite inexpensive; I don't feel as bad smashing those in

He's getting into shooting video from a quad copter, or something like that. I'll get him to chime in.

Id like to install a camera in a RC plane cockpit and fly it from a monitor rather than watching the plane itself. Now that would be one spiffy simulator with consequences if you screw up. The Hurricane looks so real I thought a real background would help. With a bit of time spent I bet this could really look good.

Nice pics! Is the third one one of those helicopters that fits in your hand? A guy in our club has one like it. I got one picture of it with my old P&S Olympus D580Z

It's got to be tough shooting RC models since they move so (relatively) fast across the field of view compared to regular aircraft. I tried it once and came up with nothing!

Your images are sharp and show good prop blur to convey action!
