Compare them to the Honda Dreams, and you will see a lot of the same styling cues.
I had a 160cc Dream that gave me better than 90mpg. Oh, for something like that now when it would really make a difference!

Brian..When I worked in a Honda shop as a mechanic I rebuilt a 160 Dream for the owner. Very nice bike and yes there are some similar characteristics there. My 125 Vespa 2 stroke gave me nearly 100 MPG. But I wouldn't trade my 40 MPG Honda fit for one!! LOL

The enclosed bodies seemed to have a bit of popularity back then...there was the bathtub Triumph, Jawas, Ariel Arrow 250cc...frankly they didn't appeal to me and getting to that engine in this Aermacchi Chimera...a challenge.

Great pix as always Big Dawg, thanks for posting it. I've seen Aermacchis , but never the Chimera. I like them especially the 250cc to 350cc horizontal single, 4 stroke...that Harley imported.
