Default Overcast Day at CVG

Spent only about an hour at the airport this morning. The overcast day made for a very blah background for most of my shots except for the colorful DHL B767-300 with its massive winglets.
Nikon D300s, Nikon 70-300 f/2.8 VR hand held. Presented at 1600 pixels wide to emphasize the length of this magnificient bird rolling down Rwy 18L at Cincinnati Northern KY International Airport.

And, no run-ins with airport security

Very nice, was it take off or landing?

Thanks Walter, Shoturtle, and Ordo for your comments. I was keen on trying out my new Nikor 70-200 f2.8 which performed flawlessly in terms of focusing and sharpness. I was also able to do some decent panning, a sample of which, I will post on a second thread.

Shortutle: This aircraft was on its take-off roll...about a second or two from rotation (you can tell by looking at strut on the nose gear which does not seem to be bearing the full weight of the aircraft at this point).
