OK,

Here are 2 more, I resized to 1024x1024, then enhance the photo. Does it look sharper?

# 2 (the Delta B767) looks much sharper. The AA 767 looks more like it has some motion blur.

That AA was the pain, the sun was right on the silver skin. The AA was the first one I took, the setting were not quite right needed to change the AF to AI Servo. I am really compress the photo, they are about 4.5mp I down size them to 256k an less. Need to find the best way to post on the board.

Thanks Hards,

Glad to know it was the way I was compressing down, not the camera.

shoturtle,

Great, you are a fast learner. Did you inactivate the IS or ... ? If I had to pick a favourite it's the last of the second batch. Great wings and the diagonal adds further power to the plane

torgny,

I had it set for IS 1 for these shots, think the next time I will try the 2 setting and not stop down as much. The the AA plane through me off. It bounce so much light back to my camera. That I over compensated by going to f13 at 300mm at 1/100. Hards suggested a faster shutter speed only stopping down to f7-8. Action is something I generally do not photography but with the transportation forum. It pecked my interest. Something different to get me out of my comfort zone and trying something new. This was my first plane spotting photo attempt. So next to sharpness, I am glad I did not do to bad. Live an learn.
