Default A rare day at dfw airport

A strong WNW wind closed the main N-S runways and shifted landings and take-offs to the shorter crosswind runways. This situation provided an unusual opportunity to get some different views of aircraft landings. These images were taken from one position and all were shot at f8 and 1/3200 sec. using an ISO of 400. Winds with gusts over 40 mph made for interesting photography.

I would have like to see some propeller blur on the american eagle photos. Would have given them some nice feel of motion also. Really like the american eagle shot. Lots of details.

I agree with Shorturtle: some prop motion would have made these images even better.#4 of the MD-80 coming in is my favorite.

Any problems with airport security????

I also adjusted the levels in this one below and it really shows the reflection of the ground on the belly of this bird. Hope you don't mind the adjustment.
