very nice car and pix...don't often think of a road gobbler like a Camaro flanked by cherry blossom trees.

Thanks I think the new Camero looks awesome...we are paying for them with tax payer money so we should at least get to drive one free for one month out of the year...

I had a '67 Camaro Coupe RS, 327 V8, 4 speed Muncie, red line, wide oval tires, dark blue, black out grille, rally wheels.

It was a year old when I had it and I was 18....now I'm ancient.

les, i loved the 67 camaro. that sounds like a heck of a ride.

i was kind of going against family tradition on mine. my dad had a 70 mustang 302 fastback and then a cougar 351.

I like the bw shot, the racing stripes stands out better then in the lighting of the color shot.

American muscle cars are nice. But I think the push rods engine has past their prime. BMW M5/6 507hp naturally aspirated V10 breed for the autobahn. Living life at about 140mph

Check out the Corvette and Camaro push rod V8's, particularly the supercharged Corvette....640 + hp I think....with reliability. Corvettes generally do very well at LeMans...have won their class vs many more exotic designed engines.

My father was a Ford guy for many years...one of his nicest was a '41 Mercury Convertible....cream in colour....but by the time I had my Camaro he had a new Impala 4 door hard top, with the big block 396 V8, 12 bolt axle and THM400 transmission...quite heavy duty...my parent's towed a trailer back then.

I know, but think the push rod is date, need a big displacement engine to equal what a smaller displacement dohc engine can do. I've seen some supercharge m6 on the autobahn think they top 700+ hp. Look at the smaller displacement engines from AMG. V8 putting out about the same power as the 6.3L engine.
