Looks like you mastered your problems by the time you got to the BA's - those are really well done. Good equipment - while not the top of the line, it shows that good pictures are made more by the photographer than the gear.

Thanks Penolta! Yeah, maybe by next year I'll at least have the Sony 70-300G. That would help, I think. The Tamron let me down a few times while it hunted for focus. The drawback of using a zoom....

Here's another one I didn't post the first time around, because I wasn't too sure about it. It almost went into the recycle bin, but I wanted to get another opinion before I do. Use it or lose it? Thanks!

Robert

First off all these are terrific. As mentioned earlier great shots with a lens that one would not think is capable of what you've captured. Says a lot about your photography.

As for the last photo, I like it. It does not grab your attention at first but looking closer you can see the shadow of the planes through the haze. Thats a cool shot.

Well done!

Save your money you don't need a G lens.

Thank you Mike, for confirning my suspicion. Concerning the shadow. I started to say something but didn't, to see if anyone would notice, or if it was my imagination. As for the lens, the Tamron 70-300 is a good lens for the price, but I would love to get the Sony G version. Maybe Christmas!

Hey Hawgwild: really great shots of the blues. I'm an air show aficionado, and nobody beats the Blue Angels. I go to air shows frequently, and always consider the Blues the cream of the crop. Over the years, I've regularly driven to Pensacola in November yearly to catch the Blue Angels Homecoming Show. (Started going when I lived in Panama City.) Good job.

Thanks Steven, I have been a fan since about 1970 or 71, when I got out of the Army, and went to my first air show. They were flying F 4 Phantoms at that time and talk about loud! At that time, I had a Canon Ftb and my "long" lens was a 70-210 f4, a very good lens, but on a 35mm body not near long enough. Thank God for digital!

I generally don't go to the Homecoming show but go to the beach on July 10th instead. It's easier to get my family to go if we go to the beach LOL.
