Default Air Show Pensacola Beach part 3

Finally, at 2:00 pm, the Blues arrived. Well, Fat Albert first...

1)

2) He shows the crowd how agile a C130 can be

3) Then, the Blue Angels approach the beach from the south at a high rate of speed, catching the crowd off guard..

4) A real "tourist" shot..

5) Coming down the beach from east to west

6)

7)

8)

9)

10)

11)

12) This last one, two planes approached each other at just below mach, passed very close, then turned very tightly to do a 180. This guy was pulling some serious G's. These planes are built to take it though...

Thanks for looking. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did taking them. As always, criticism welcome, how else ya gonna learn?

Thanks Shoturtle, most of my decent shots were more by accident than intent I'm afraid LOL

That's as nice a shot of "Fat Albert" as I've seen anywhere, anytime.

Thanks A.C. Shooting Fat Albert and the Blues is like shooting a pretty model, they do the work and make you look good. LOL

Yes, if you're in Pensacola. I've shot Fat Albert several times with not near the results you achieved.

Thanks for the kind words. The last Blues show I photographed was 1971, November, and the skies were clear and blue like they were Saturday. That always helps. In my case, it was a combination of things but mostly beginners luck. They were flying F4 Phantoms then.

Thanks Mug! Hey, I'm an old Army guy, but grew up in an Air Force family (my dad was a career man, 22 years), so I remember the Thunderbirds well. Last time I had any doings with them they were flying F-100's.
