Default PM ACtion at CVG

I thought I'd try something different with my aviation photography by visiting at sunset. Due to the western view, I usually visit in the morning in order to take advantage of the sun behind me. PM shooting is tough due to heavy shadows from the back lighting. However, I thought dusk might be do-able. I threw in an added challenge and did some panning as well. Here is what I came home with tonight.

Jehan

USA 3000 Airbus A320 panned at 1/50 of a second. Looks like there is a hitch-hiker in the cockpit tonight

Very unusual to see this loooong Continental B757-300 flexing its wings at CVG. Panned at 1/30 of a second-not as sharp as I would have preferred though.

Finally a silhouette of the radar and the control tower as the sun sets over CVG.

I like them, it gives the photos a whole different look. And the golden colors really adds to the photos. Nicely down. I need to shoot in the PM more now,

Thanks ST...I have submitted #1 to airliners.net...let's see if it makes it through the screening process. The color tones when shooting during the "Golden Hour" are hard to beat!

This opens up a whole new time slot for photography at the airport now

Thank you Juggernauter and Wizzard...can't beat the lighting during the golden hour! It was a challenging shot since I had to try to capture the motion in the background, yet freeze the foreground in a back lit environment.
