Default Aerial refueling

An amazing aviation accomplishment. I got to see the old and new while at March Air Force Base last year.

The KC 135 is a work horse for the USAF. That old 707 body is still going strong. Want to see it the the revise KC-45 will get pick to replace the KC 135, or will it be the KC 767. The KC-45 is the better plane.

Nice shots! I like the composition in #2!

I remember seeing the KC135 tankers flying out of the Plattsbugh (NY) Air Force Base (now closed) all the time when I lived in Upstate New York in the early 1980's. They would do practice runs over Lake Champlain and other parts of the Adirondack Valley.

That's a very nice comp. on the second shot. The wide angle really makes the shot.

I like both pix...# 1 with the mountains in the background , but particularly the wide angle shot of the aerial refueller mechanism...never seen one from this angle. Great pix.
