Default Where I Hang Out

Where I spend a lot of time ...

This is Delta's Flight 043 (B767-300) from Paris, moments from touch down on Rwy 27 at Cincinnati.

Nikon D90 + Tamron 18-270 VC

Dealing with a slight crosswind from the looks of the rudder. Winds were gusting to about 25 knots that afternoon.

Mice view spot and images. When I was younger and lived in Northern VA I liked to go to Gravely Park off the George Washington parkway at the end of National Airport runway and watch the planes land. If the planes are landing over Georgetown vs Wilson Bridge you could get some AWESOME shots!!!!!!!

Keep sharing those plane images

Thanks ST...I've managed a few good images from here. Now only if we had some more traffic at CVG, I'd have a whole lot more fun!

Thanks Dave! I've read about Gravely Park in DC and may pay it a visit in the Summer. Last year I visited the viewing area at Baltimore (BWI) and thought it was ideal. I'll be in the Washington/Baltimore area again this year and may stop by there Gravely Park as well.

By the way, here is another image of that Polar 747 as it passed overhead giving me a chance to inhale the jet fumes

Nikon D90 + Tamron 18-275 mm f/3.5-6.3 VC (my everyday walk about lens).

Streets: From one aircraft nut (or should I save a rivet) to another, "Thanks"! I'm getting a bit bored with CVG though...need to head out to some new airfields.
