Jehan,

Don't no much about aerodynamics, but the compositional lines in this picture really make the plane "lift", "take off", "fly"; not only within the picture format/boundaries ...

Excellent. What a wonder flying is

Makes me wonder what constitutes a good photo - often impossible to nail in words. The "pornographic" (showing it all without finesse) pictures we see today are an insult to any thinking being

"The devil is in the details" it is said. Never really liked the concept of a "Faustian trade" though. "Well, Arundati Roy wrote a book "The God Of Small Things" - comes closer but uses a concept that wouldn't exactly appeal to Wilhelm of Occham

Excuse the name dropping but I'm always looking for people with certain referential frames

Very nice angle jelpee. A neat pick.

Torgny: check the concept of wabi-sabi. It may be a resume of many of your ideas.

Thanks Torgny and Ordo.

Torgny: I think the "lift" you sense in the image may be a result of the hint of dark exhaust smoke from the engines! I never tire of seeing airplane take-off.....amazing that a body of that mass can defy gravity and get airborne. I had a good day at the air field...lots of images for posting on airliners.net!
