Default Into the Sunset

Late evening departure from Rwy 27 (heading into the evening sun) of this DHL DC-8 Freighter. Nice clear evening--no clouds, no haze. Only about 30 minutes of this light to shoot in.

Nikon D300s + Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 VR.

Great, looks like light is carrying it from beneath, defying the laws of gravitation

Love it....! The plane looks "naked" with no sign of windows, decals, wheels, lights etc...!

thats a great image, all of the other comments about the plane being lifted on light, and being barren of color or decoration are accurate, and this along with the color, all makes it a great image.

Thanks Simon40 and Schmintan for your comments. I had originallly thought this picture was ruined since I was shooting into the sun, but once I took a look at the image, the lighting turned out better than I could imagine.
