Default A319 Up Close

Was able to get up close to this Continental A319 as it was turning on to Rwy 36R to begin its take-off roll. The aircraft still sports the United Airlines paint scheme from a prior generation.

Engines spooling, visible jet wash...can't you smell the jet fumes???. Also,always exciting to capture the crew in the cockpit.

Nice close up, good catch of the pilot looking at the direction of travel.

The rear landing gear if awfully close to the runway or taxi way lights. Great sharp crisp capture. Great timing as well.

Nice shot wingman. You have some great lenses in your bag. It must have been a really bright day from the looks of the window shades.

Thanks ST, Photo 5 and Streets.

Streets: My Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 does an amazing job of capturing detail near and far, and is entirely responsible for the technical quality of this image!

Re. the windows, a bit of an illusion. Some shades were down; for the others, what is visible are the inside frames of the windows...here's another view as she lined up:
