Default Thou shalt not covet

...thy neighbor's classic Chevy.

Went to our local car show this morning and admired some beauties, including this '56 Chevy convertible. I definitely coveted this car (among others) while in high school. Could've had it (sigh) for about $3,500. Now? Try $40,000. So, I'll just own it digitally and play with it in Photoshop.

Walter, those are absolutely gorgeous shots of a very beautiful car, and your post-processing prowess is unequalled! Don;t hate me for this, but that is a very good restoration of a '58 Impala.

Well, bang my head on a fence post. A '58 it is. Thanks for the correction.

An awesome looking car and work from you as always Walter. Maybe you could trade some of your work for car?

Beautiful car, well photographed. In my town there is a '58 Impala coupe...with a 348 V8 and 3 X 2 bbl. carbs...with a 4 speed.

Boy I would love to have it.

When I was a kid back in the early 60's, I used to spend most of my summer fishing off a dam on a side road in Minnesota.

There was a guy with a 58 Impala convert...as in the photo...who would always come to a stop on the bridge, atop the dam...ask how we were doing...fish wise and then burble off slowly.

I think the sound of that powerful Chevy V8 propelling the 58 convert....made a big impression on a young kid.
