Default Space Shuttles Last Flight

Today was the space shuttles last time in the sky. I'm sure a lot of us in California were lucky enough to capture a glimpse of it as it flew by piggy back on the 747 transport plane, or even luckier to capture a good shot.

I would like to see your shot and hear about where you were.

It was an amazing sight. The only time I have seen Endeavour was from 200 miles away as it orbited the earth.

Here's my shot from today. It was passing over the USS Iowa in the Los Angeles Harbor.

Looking forward to seeing yours.

Nice angle Mike...would have been perfect if it had not been back lit!

Indeed, it was an awesome sight, Mike. I waited 3 hours to see it from Boeing's facility here in Huntington Beach.

Yes Jehan I agree with you, but sometimes you just have to settle with what plays out.

Yes Walter, awesome it was. Did you capture any images? I can't imagine you experiencing this without your camera.

Care to share any?

Another one after passing by. It was a tough angle as it flew directly across the sun.
