Very nice Walter. Before I was born my father had a '41 Mercury convertible...cream coloured. I've seen photo's of it and your photo reminds me of my dad's old Merc.

A 1942 Mercury must be rare, as the U.S. declared war on Dec. 7/41. Don't think many '42's of any car were made as production lines switched over to production of military products.

You're right. These are rare sightings. I don't recall seeing another '42, which is why this one caught my attention.
