Default Approaches to DFW-36L

I managed to photograph here for 45 minutes before some weenie in a cockpit tattled on me to the control tower and brought the airport bownshirts to the scene. I showed the nice officer my 300mm stinger tube assembly and he told me that the crews are getting a bit edgy when someone gets too close to the fence. I told him they should move the fence. The 747 was really great: The trailing edge vortices actually blew my hat off. Guess I'll have to look for a spot with better concealment possibilities.

Welcome to my world Streets

Last time I was photographing at an airport, a pilot had radioed the tower about me standing on a ladder photographing. Fortuantely, I had gotten permission from the airport to photograph from that spot. The PD showed up just to let me know that they had a call from the tower...but they said I was good to stay there.

Nice close ups there...especially the 747!

Yes Jehan, fear has replaced gonads among many who used to be men. Every stick looks like an AR-15 and rocks resemble grenades. I have become one angry S.O.B. these past 8 years. Thanks for the kind words my friend.
