I've got to get over to your part of the world to spot and ride some of these cool passenger trains! Nice shot as always T! The fuzz reflection is a nice touch!

JohnG,

Cold - yes, indeed. Check out this exposure - like steam from boiling water, but the opposite. The Aspen water around +/- 0 degrees Celsius - the air much, much colder

Jehan

You're very welcome over here, Jehan. Taking the train is often the natural way to go from one point to another. Furthermore its often a pleasant experience

One of my favourite thinkers, Noam Chomsky, told the story how he and his wife Carol once went by passenger train from Boston to Washington. 60 years thereafter the train was (a whopping?) 6 minutes faster. Seems Europe has the edge here :-) and the US a fantastic area for development. Tracks in stead of tar sand pipes, perhaps

The wagons, (cars?) below come from the Netherlands, transporting chemicals up here in the north

Very nice series. I wish that we could have a rail system like those found in Europe. The northeast part of the U.S. comes close but the rest of the country depends on diesel/electric power for rail transport. If you were to drive from Fort Worth to El Paso you would see why overhead electric powered rail would be problematic.
