Thanks Phil. Aviation photography is best when the days are clear (perhaps some cumulus clouds), there is plenty of sunshine and it is breezy (helps with heat distortion). But on the other hand, fading light, shooting into the sun and heat distortion from the exhaust can work to your advantage!
