Default We Have Touchdown!!!

Today this old guy landed in the parking lot driveway. He came to take his even older mum shopping. He was in and out in no time. Except for the hour it took to get her in the plane. It seems she didnt want to go.

Most impressive - esp the twirl of the prop
You have got this stuff down to a fine art ... 10/10

So that's how they pull off a piece of "Fake News" if I saw one. That's quite something...the scale/proportion is well executed. I'm curious as to how much time it takes to complete an image such as this?

Well Jehan, I have a small travel case which holds 4 telescoping legs. Its actually a DJ Hero case for the game. It also carries a piece of foamcore that I painted to look like a road. So its simply set up, place the board on top of the case and put the object (car or plane) on the board. I could at this point use a Kellison stick for accurate sizing so the object would be 1:1 scale with its surroundings. The plane is less than a foot from the camera. I gave the prop a flick with my finger and took the shot. WHen I have the shot(s) I then remove the stand and object and take another shot of the background. I can then just erase the case or anything that shows up in the shot. You have to make sure the camera is on a firm tripod so the background shot and the first shot with the plane will be perfectly aligned.I was in and out in 10-15 minutes. Later in photoshop I blended my road into the actual pavement. I want to go back and do a shot with the plane taking off and landing.
