Here are photos of places I visited while in India. The Charminar is amuslim monument built in 1591 in Hyderabad to celebrate the eradication of the plague. Today the city population isapproximately 8 million people.

Agra Fort. Construction started in 1156 and the last area built was 1605. The Taj Mahal is located 2 km from this fortress.

View from the Agra Fort Palace. Notice the marble inlay work. This was built by the same ruler that built the Taj Mahal.

Agra Fort walls. Notice the moat below. Hopefully this image shows the size of the place. If you ever visit the Taj Mahal, this is a must see located nearby.

Closeup of some of the inlay work on the Taj Mahal itself. Think of the time spent chiseling out the marble, shaping the jewels, and doing the actual fit for inlay.
