Was recently on vacation in India and had the chance to see the Taj Mahal. WOW! What an amazing building! The white marble shines in the sunlight, what a sight! Here's a few photos I took. Enjoy!

Thanks for looking,
Chris

This was the site for the black Taj Mahal but it was never built. You can kind of see it's foundation never the center of the photo just before the trees.

Yourseries does not only comprisetasteful captures of a wonderful architecture on the earth butalso displaygreat exposure skillchallenging the strong Indian sun!!

The first, second andseventh ones especially (if cropped some from the bottom- the distracting sidewalk in the last one for example)richly deserve to be published somewhere, imo! Oh, but don'tget me wrong! Other shotsserve asa great complementaryrevealing theunique characteristics

Ah, remembering the wise words'I count no man happy until his death' which saved Croesus's life,I often wonder from which perspective ShahJahan(or 'Cihan' in Turkish),might have watched this splendid memorial edifice he had had built in the memory of his belowed wife, on his last days under the captivity by his son...
