This pub looks like one of those places where back in the 18th century a guy could be drinking and the next morning wake up to find that he is a sailor in the British navy.

Pressed into the Queen's Navy....as they used to say. My Granfather's friend was an old Englishman from Bristol , England and when I was a little gaffer he told me how he had witnessed men being 'pressed' into service in the 1800's.

I'm an older man and he was born in the late 1870's .
