Default A trip to the Himalayas, India

I recently went on a trek to Chopta in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, India. Sharing a few snaps here from the trip :

all these are breathtaking!!!

so so so lucky to have thses

some a re a little flat and could use a little tweaking.

but all in all every single one of these could be wall hangers, especially 4 & 9!

Beautiful landscapes that you have captured so well. The compositions and lighting are very good. I especially like #2...the various layers give the image a tremendous sense of depth (3D like). Thanks for taking us along on your trek!

thanks everybody for the comments, really appreciate.

@ordo, the images have been taken with the Canon 500D (Rebel T1i) that I recently purchased and using the 18-55mm kit lens

like PB said, with some post production tweaking it they could be even better.

Like your pix. How high did you get up the Nepalese Himalaya's ?

I like the lodge buried in deep snow.

thanks lesmore, well these are actually the Indian Himalayas (Uttarakhand), we were at around 3000 meters, couldn't move further high up as there was 4-5 feet of snow ahead....

The pictures of the mountain tops are awe inspiring..being there must of quite an experience.
