COOL! Sounds like you're set for your next purchase Once I get my hands on the 1Ds MK II I'll be done with bodies. Lenses is a different story

My wife got me into photogrpahy. She bought me my first real camera, 20D Yeah, I'm still sorta new to this stuff. She was the one with camera all the time taking photos and videos! Now I've taken over the photo department

I got a travel camera system for this year already with the epl-1 and the 35mm macro and panny 45-200mm zoom. Now getting the 20mm 1.7 for it. No more camera or lenses buying this year.

Also aided my brother in getting him into dslr photography. So I have research so many camera items this year, and it is only may.

Yeah, when I get the 5DMKIII when it comes out, I will put my eos 1 up along side my canon 630 as a display. I really like the aps-c but I still need the ff size format for some of my shooting needs.

The 1D are very nice cameras. Yeah lenses can be a bad addiction. But I just can not see myself getting L series lenses. They are nice, but I shoot for a hobby, and EF lenses do a very good job. There is only 2 L lenses I would want the 135 L and the 100-400 L

I've been bitten by L bug. It's too late for me I love my 28-70 and 70-200. I don't use my 70-200 that often but when I do I'm happy with the results. The 28-70 is glued on my 1D. After I get the 1Ds I'll most likely pick up a 16-35 and that will be it for now. My Sigma 12-24 is way too soft. It does clean up at f/13 but I can't shoot at 13 all the time. This is the reason for my overkill with the fisheye in Nice. All of my night and indoor shots were taken with the fisheye. That lens is super sharp at all f-stops! Tilt shift lenses are COOL but I can't see myself spending that kind of cash, 17mm tilt shift, on a lens I'll use once in a while. Still too much for me when I get paid for interior shots for my boss. Might as well save my money and keep using the Sigma. Tripod and f/13-16, the Sigma is pretty sharp.

There really is no wider angle for a FF body, 12-24 is the only option. I was considering the sigma. But opted against it. I will like with 28mm at the wide end. I might added a 20mm 2.8 when I get the 5dmliii

That would fill out my lens line up 20 2.8, 28 1.8, 50 1.4, 85 1.8. 100 2.8 macro for my primes, and the 28-135 and 70-300 for my zooms.

I've gotten used to the 12-24 on the 1D and the 10-22 on the 20d so the 16-35mm on FF will almost be the same. The 12-24 on FF will be crazy! Can't wait to see what 12mm really looks like Another option is to have Sigma calibrate it and hope it sharpens up at a lower f-stop. Then I won't need the 16-35.

WOW! You're a prime kind of guy I have 3 primes 15 fisheye, 50 and 85. It's hard for me to move back and forth to zoom, with the 50 and 85. I'm fine with the fisheye for some reason. I should take them out more often to get some practice.

Yeah, I started back when zooms were rare. Had my first slr when I was 8. So I grew up with prime lenses. Also for the type of shooting I do, I do fine myself shooting at 1.4 and 1.8 quite a bit actually. 2.8 is when I can stop down.

That is why, I like the 135 L, but will not pay that much of a prime lens like the 50 1.2L, great lenses, but not for a hobby.

I guess when you go that wide you're gonna get some nasty corners.

Yeah, that was a lens I was considering getting. But opted out of because it is the only ultra wide angle on a film or FF camera.

I'll let you know how bad it is when I get the 1Ds.
