Default Eastern Sierra's

I had a few days off work and took a fishing trip to the Bishop Ca. area. While there I got a few shots in.
Winter just won't let go this year. A lot of the areas I wanted to go into have not opened up yet due to too much snow.

1. Looking south from Sherwin grade on highway 395 over Round Valley.

Funny you still have snow there. We are tying fifty-year old record high temps here, around 100 degrees. Too early for that. Very nice photos, Mike. Number three belongs on the wall.

Robert,
100* heat and humidity, thats not a nice combo. There was still 6' of snow on the road at Mammoth lakes, just about 10 miles up the road from where #1 was taken. The locals said by mid June the roads should be clear.

Thanks wave01 and Ordo. That area is a very special place to me but fishing takes precedence over photography while I'm there. And doing both simultaneously is really a challenge. Powerbait and lenses make a terrible combination.
