Default Hoover Dam

Returned from a visit to Nevada, Arizona and Utah last week. Here are a couple from our visit to Hoover Dam. Quite the engineering marvel for having being built in the 1930's!

The highway bridge across the Colorado River is now complete. I've also included an image from 2009 when it was under construction.

Nikon D300s + Nikkor 10.5 mm FE, & Nikkor 12-24 mm F4.

Jehan

Nikkor 12-24 mm F4

Fish Eye View (Nikkor 10.5 F2.8)

From 2009, when the highway bridge was under construction. There is now a pedestrian walkway across the bridge as well.

Great shots Jehan.

Very nice composition, good selection with the fisheye.

The fisheye and where you stood transform a view I've seen photographed many times before into something new. Well done on the colors.

Thanks Mike, Wave01, ItDontMeanAThing & Simon. I don't use that 10.5mm FE as much as I should--it sure is a fun lens and seems to work well for the wide perpspectives.

I have more images from the rest of my travels (Arizona, & Utah) that I'll post in separate threads.
