Default Sequoia Trip with grandkids

This year we took our granddaughters to the Sequoias located on the western side of the Sierra Nevada's in California. Our choice was a place thats of the beaten path with minimal tourist which was nice.

Our location

The kids were ready to go the next morning. Our destination is the emerald pools at the river.

We arrived. Grandma crossing the river with the girls.

Shoring up the rocks to keep the pool at a good level.

We all worked up a good appetite and grandma cooked up a tasty dinner for us.

The next day we went exploring.
First stop was soda springs, a natural carbonated spring.

Our next stop was the Stagg Tree. It's a pretty impressive tree with a 95 foot circumference at the base.

Our last photo for this set was a vantage point with a view looking south down the Kern drainage.

Thanks for your reply. It really is a beautiful place with plenty to do and not a lot of people.
And for the exposures, I got lucky with the river pics. I had left the ISO at 1600 from earlier. Not too bad though. Thats one reason I shoot in raw, More room to correct dumb errors.
