Default My first trip to Sturgis

My wife and I went to Sturgis for the 72nd annual bike rally. Our first ever trip to South dakota, and it was a beautiful place. Here are some pics I took.

1) The view of highway 85 from the parking lot of the Lodge at Deadwood, where we stayed. Great place. best food, and casino gaming. Downhill to the right is deadwood, and uphill to the left is Spearfish, a nice ride through Spearfish Canyon.

2) Deadwood South dakota. We stayed just up the hill about a mile above town.

3) Another shot of Main Street Deadwood. That is my wife walking on the far right side of the pic Haha.

4) Welcome to Sturgis

5) Main Street, Sturgis

6) Main Street, Sturgis

7) Main Street

8) Nice smile

9) A brother vet. We exchanged info, when were you there, who were you with, and then I took his picture because I liked his hat.

10) In Custer State Park, my wife digging out our breakfast at an overlook. Smoked bacon and toast, washed down with bottled water. Yum!

11) Some really neat scenery we got to look at.

12) Another pic of my wife. She was having a good time so she let me take more than one picture.

Thanks for looking. I have a few more I will put in another thread.

Nice trike,

Strugis is is not a rally that interest me. Interesting views in town. But Daytona is more interesting for sport touring.

The scenery in the countryside is quite nice.

Yes, I have been to both now, and each has its advantages. Daytona is MUCH closer, but South Dakota has some killer views and attractions.
