The halo around the trees in the second image pretty much spoil the look.

Thx for showing us - I'm not sure about the 2nd one tho...
Q- just curious - what's caused the halo aaround the tree & the LHS tower??

No Problem at all - I thought it's kind of cool and dreamy

I was a bit lazy this morning and run the image through Topaz FX 'Heavy Pop Grunge'. The result is slightly more dreamy that the On1 Dreamland effect but not everyone like it...

It's a Topaz plug-in effect described above...
Here the same image but run through a different HDR 'Dynamic Pop II' filter this time:





-> The halo is gone but so are the other 'dreamy' effects !

It is always foggy in San Francisco. It is really hard to get a clear shot of the whole bridge unless you are living right by there. I went thee 3 times recently and was not able to get a good picture of the entire length of the bridge without any fog covering it.

I know what you mean.

I was only there for the weekend and run into the same issue...
The morning light is good but the GG bridge is usually covered by the fog.
Afternoon light is on the wrong side of the bridge.
