Default Some pics from our Sturgis Bike Rally trip.

Some random pics, some may be out of order, but so is my brain right now. We are still on our trip, heading back home. Will take three more days to get there.

1) Scary looking dude on the street in Sturgis. He told me the red eyes are permanent, the red being injected.

2) Not sure where she got the money, she posed free with everybody.

3) Chillin'

4) I asked him if he was a real Viking, and he said "no, I'm a Scot". I said "Good, smile".

5) A happy Doxie.

6) Sturgis bikers.

7) Our waitress for lunch at One Eyed Jack's

8) Chrome, chrome, and more chrome. I liked the kick stand.

9) Cops were every where, and thoroughly enjoying themselves.

10) They really enjoyed "arresting" the women.

We always go a week early to avoid the madness when the rally starts. It's bad enough when we are there.

Ah yes, the annual Sturgis freak show. Never made that scene, H.W., but I did manage to do the Iron Butt and Four Corners on my BMW R80GS Paris Dakar when I was in my early fifties. Those are great photos of an event having a wealth of photo ops.

"Ah yes, the annual Sturgis freak show."

You are absolutely right on that one. I have gone up there two years in a row, and it never ceases to amaze me. I mostly ride through the mountains, spending only one day in Sturgis. I am out before dark. Thanks for looking and commenting, Ron. Sometimes I wonder if anyone is viewing these threads.

Looks like a wild show of something, just not sure what that something is or if I want to find out. Leaving before dark sounds like the safe thing to do, as I expect that town gets really wild at night.

Actually the real craziness was at the Full Throttle Saloon, just outside of town, at the Buffalo Chip campground.
