Justdrove backfrom a week in Cornwall and thought I'd post this picture. This is one of the only houses that escaped the torrent of water that was to surge down into the beautiful little village of Boscastle and destroy it three days later.

Kind of poignant!

I like the way the flare leads you to the water. You got in a good position to shoot that.

Yeah, it's a shame what happened but thankfully not a tragedy. Sure homes and livelihoods were lost, but so far no life.

Just wish I'd taken a few more pictures, It was a stunning little place but like you said it could have been worse.

Hi there;

This is a good shot in so many ways... I love the lines - lots of active diagonals. The light, too, is very engaging. It's pastoral, yet there is lots going on.

I agree that it's rather poignant given the events which followed.
