OK, hope this isn't too many pics, but it's off another server, so no bandwidth wasted here ;P

Here are some pics I took during my recent trip to London. If you can't tell what the pic is right off, chances are I cant tell you either ;P The only one I will explain is the last one. The guy is myself, and the girl is the artist I met on the internet a couple years back. She's a real sweety, and it was great meeting her.

All pics where taken with my Minolta Dimage XT, full res and Fine quality, then shunk to 640x480 when I got home...

Cool! I was just in the UK (Aug 28 - Sep 10). Looks like we went to the same sights (except the last one :blah. I will start posting mine soon (London, Stonehenge, and Bath).

I'll be going to London in early November on business, but will be staying a few more days for sightseeing. Anyone have any hints as to the best places for photos? I'm also particularly interested in good vantage points for night shots. Thanks.

Bill,

Goride the London Eye and afterward walk across the Jubilee Bridge. Lots of good picture locations in the area.

Also, I took a bus tour to Stoneheng and Bath.Very nice day trip and not too expensive :-), even with the awful exchange rate .

Enjoy!

Cfrick,

Thanks for the info. Any suggestions for night shots? I'll be taking a tripod along and would like to take some night shots with long exposures. Thanks.

I like the picture of the two of you (not to mention the dramatic sites). Did you take it as a self-portrait? The position of your right sleeve is a clue, but only because I was looking for it! Does your camera have a self-portrait setting? I'm asking all these questions because I've tried taking a self-portrait with my DX7440, and I haven't produced one yet that I like. But then, most people don't like their own voice recordings, either. ("I don't sound/look like that!") :whack:

Bill,

Sorry for the delay in replying. Night shots on the Jubilee, Millennium, and Tower bridges are very good.

Enjoy your trip!

Excellent shots.. Did you position the camera on a tripod or something. My shots are way more blurry!

I loved bayswater and paddington areas.
