We were driving through Bataan province in the Philippines and came accross this monument to the death march during WWII. We were not in a place where we could stop and get better composition, as a result I took this through the car window but I couldn't pass up at least getting some kind of shot of this. Comments welcome...

that's one of those things you want to see, just because. like The Wall in D.C. it's a memorial to a terrible, horrific event, but one that must never be forgotten, lest it be repeated...
