Very cool.

What are those domed shaped objects?

Interesting angle for a photo. Would love more information about what we're seeing here (please pardon my ignorance).

To tell the truth I don't know what the domes are either.I didn't notice themfrom street level, but I climbed an ancient fortress tower adjacent to this site and took this photo. I was on a humanitarian aid trip and we had only this one afternoon of site seeing and shopping and didn't have a chance to get much of a tour or information. AllI know about the site is that it is within the walls of the old portion of Baku, Azerbaijan where there had been some ancient artifacts dug up, which can be seen in the court yard area in the lower right part of the frame. I have a contact that may be able to tell me more; I'll update if I can. Thanks for asking.

It may well be a turkish bath, with each dome a private room.

You are right. My friend got back to me and confirmed: The domes are an old bathhouse or Hamaam, where men used to get a masage and have a bath. Very popular in Turkish tradition.
