What head work?

Hi, I'm a noob and I have a quick question.

I bought a lighting tripod for my Aiptek Action GVS because I couldn't find an 8 foot camera tripod. I didn't know that the camera would be sit flat until after I got it. I asked on another forum and they said I needed a head and linked me to this http://www.h1photo.com/3126.html. Is there something out there that's cheaper that will work just as good, or is this the entry level head?
