Default Need Underwater housing for my new Nikon Coolpix 4300

I just got my first digital. Really my first decent camera ever. I'm going on a dive trip to Mexico (San Carlos, has anyone ever been there?) next week and would like to get an underwater housing. Any suggestions on where to get one and how much they will cost? Do I need a filter for underwater photography or any other special equipment with this camera? I am a total photography novice.

Default Wetpixel

I recommend you do a search on Wetpixel.com for some recommendations.

Good luck on your first trip and make sure to learn how to use your camera and housing before you hit the water.

Cheers

Thanks. Probably will be cameraless underwater for this trips since I haven't found the housing yet although I'm getting close. I actually found a place and didn't have time to call, than misplaced the information. Duh!! But there will be other dive trips and I'm sure plenty of above water opportunity for photos too. I know San Carlos is not a big dive destination but there was a lot there that sounded interesting so we figured we'd try it. Next year we're heading to Australia I hope!!

Very good place to search and buy video/still housing:

Highest recommendation from Canadian customer.

We have the 4300 and are using Fantasea's housing with it. Works great!
