Has anybody else experienced a housing failure with the WP-DC40. Specifically with cracks in the case?

I bought a WP-DC40 housing for my Canon S70 which was an upgrade from my S230 (with housing). On a recent dive it flooded (it was only the 6th dive I took with my new setup). After investigation, I discovered the leak was coming from a small crack in the front of the housing just underneath the built-in defuser mount.

I took care not to drop or bang the housing but there is a chance that during baggage handling at the airport, that my dive bag got squashed (it was inside a rolling soft trunk case) and perhaps the weight of other luggage cause the failure?

Or it could be a manufacturing fault and the crack could have been caused by the water pressure (89ft was the deepest dive). The crach was in a place that was hard to notice from the outside of the case because of the flash defuser being in the way.

Foruntatley I had my gear insured with D.E.P.P. and they replaced both my camera and housing within 2 weeks of my claim! They had brand new camera and case shipped directly to me from ADORAMA. I can't recommend D.E.P.P. more highly.
